Soccer Season Preview

Now that Spring is starting, soccer season has officially started with it, and the Broncs and Fillies are being held to a high standard this year. Both teams are coming off of dominant seasons where they both made state championship appearances. The Broncs defeated Green River in a 3-0 shutout, and the Fillies fell to Lander 2-1. 

The Broncs have three all-state players returning: Jackson Asay, Owen Petersen, and Carter Gail. The Fillies also have a handful of returning all-staters with Ellie Talich, Molly Ryzewicz, Kaitlin Ennist, Kimber Christler, Mali Ivanoff, and Grace Hays. So basically half of 3A. The 2024 season kicks off in one week where the teams play Douglas at home (hopefully there are no flashbacks to state basketball). 

After basketball regionals I said the bta tour was coming to state and I might have miscalculated (slightly). But this time I’m right! THE BRONCS AND FILLIES ARE BOTH WINNING STATE SOCCER THIS YEAR!

I have one more thing to say before I finish. CARTER GAIL WAS SNUBBED OF GATORADE LAST YEAR. There I said it, and I’m so confident he’s winning it this year that I will reclassify and graduate next year if he doesn’t. You know what, I’ll double down. ELLIE TALICH IS ALSO WINNING GATORADE! If both Carter and Ellie DON’T win gatorade, you will all be seeing me again next year. 

Also if anyone finds my glasses please give them to me before I buy new ones over the break. 🎉
