Evergreen

By Megan Pederson, Poetry Editor

Icicles glisten on the evergreen trees,

as snow blankets the frosty ground.

Sitting still for hundreds of years,

They watch the seasons cycle through.

Burrowing their roots deeper every year.
They observe Earth's big freeze,

before spring comes around.

They’ll sit until they are found,

when they showcase their glories.
