The Big Picture
By Megan Pederson
Everything dies.
Vibrant summer leaves shrivel up before they fall to the ground,
but they become fertilizer for the grass next summer.
Friendships die.
The people you love may betray you,
but their absence creates room for a new friendship to thrive.
Everything fights for survival, from insects to humans to bears.
Not everything makes it, but it is how the earth goes around. Life is not fair.
Humans fight for a place.
We fight for relationships that will never make it.
We fight for a place in our society, no matter how out of place we feel.
Sometimes, you have to fight to find yourself.
No matter what happens, know it's for the better.
