Intoxicating, unhealthy, and honestly scary

People around you often are the ones hurt 

It could be flavored with anything from lemon to cherry

And in my opinion, honestly is less valuable than dirt

It comes in all different shapes and sizes 

People often see it as an escape or painkiller 

It also seems to lead to too many compromises 

Often makes them feel stellar

It ruins the bonds and connections

Families are divided and get upset

Sadly creates overcorrections 

With money being spent on something that's not an asset

Counseling seems to lead to no difference 

Meetings end in unchanging behaviors 

Unusual behaviors form mostly negligence 

Is there anybody that’ll be our savior 

It creates canyons of negative feelings 

and often it isn't just nature's dealings
