Halloween Night

By: Aiden Power, Staff Writer

A frigid wind blows on All Hallows’ Eve

The trees rustle and sway; day turns to night

Evil spirits rise for those who believe

All doors swing open, causing a great fright

Noises from inside the dark twisted halls

Sprinting and clawing from inside the homes

Come an outpour of ravenous calls

As prophesied in ancient tomes

Screaming they run from house to house

Holding bags of their spoils in their hands

Pulling and begging on every blouse

Dressed as monsters and spirits, they return

As the last jack-o'-lanterns end their burn
