Blue Birds

written by Cedar Jeffers

Feathery wings

Kissing the breeze softly

Gentle cooing from above

Eggs nestled neatly

Breeze carries them

Bright blue attracts

Flying high in the skies

Stories from the past of the fallen skies

Songs to the young

Flying through the fall

Whispers of blue through the snow

Spring brings them home

Blue eggs when flowers bloom

Hatching, new feathers

Chirping a new song

A new breeze to carry them along.
