Octobers Awakening

By Megan Pederson

The cool, October breeze whips through the air,
It's whirling and pulling the leaves with it.

Looking at the leaves, I can't help but stare.

It's almost like the leaves are infinite.

Rain is pattering down from the dark clouds.

It is tapping on every window.

Rainbows shine after water drains from clouds.

Ah, October is so calm and mellow.

As the deep orange Harvest Moon shines bright,

The fresh new air is flowing through the Earth.

It sets all worries free into the night,

It's time for renewal, time for rebirth.

Oh, calm October, showcase your beauty.

Oh, calm October, gift us your bounty.
