Highschool

Such a crazy place

The time you spend there

Seems so grand and immeasurable

Surrounded by these people

That you think you understand

When in reality

You only scratch the surface

Of so many lives

It all seems so important

And becoming an adult 

Seems like it's a lifetime away

The only things that matter 

is the latest drama 

And who's with who

Maybe getting good grades

Sprinkled in there 

Who cares about the future

When it's so far away 

Until suddenly 

Graduation is in a month 

And scholarships need filling out 

Colleges are getting back to you 

With the good

And the bad 

The stress seems to pile up 

And often you try to forget

Forget that the good days 

Are almost over

That its almost time 

For that next big step

Changing your life

Either a lot

Or a little 

Depending on what fate holds

Some may be highly successful

Others may be surprised 

with what's to come

It can change

All in a heartbeat

And life will go on

Whether you want it to 

Or not

It doesn't care if you're ready 

Because the world keeps spinning 

As the water continues to flow 

You can only change so much 

So remember 

That though highschool 

Is a crazy place

It’s not everything

It too will pass

So make the most of it 

Don’t just crash
