Grains of sand between my toes

I look at you and your bright blue eyes
A smile that just glows
And suddenly, the knot in my stomach unties

Back and forth with the tide
Washing away remnants of the past

So happy you can be by my side
Hoping this moment can everlast

The sun goes down
Leaving us cold
But still, we don’t frown
As our hands we hold

The golden rays now away
But the sandy love tends to stay
